How to Get Involved

Thank you for your interest in From Cover to Cover!

 

There are several ways you can get involved with this worthwhile cause. This page will provide you with information on how to make blankets, where you can donate monetarily, drop-off locations, upcoming fundraisers, and community awareness events. We value all of our volunteers and donors. You are all coming together to help promote literacy in the Quad Cities and surrounding communities and we thank you for your support "because every child deserves the comfort of a book and a snuggle."


Monetary Donations


Your financial donation is tax-deductible.  To donate monetarily, stop in at any First Central State Bank branch (located in LeClaire, DeWitt, Eldridge and Long Grove) and tell them you would like to contribute to From Cover to Cover.

Blanket Instructions


To make a blanket, purchase two pieces of fleece measuring 1 1/3 yards.  Follow the instructions found here:

Donating Books or Blankets


If you have new or gently used books, finished blankets, or fleece for a blanket, please email fromcovertocoverproject@gmail.com to arrange for us to pick up or drop off these materials.


The Francis Banta Waggoner Library in DeWitt has a drop box labeled "From Cover to Cover" for you to place book or blanket donations.


 


New books for the Birthday Book Club should be placed in the specially labeled crate.
